SWISS LACHS is pleased to announce the take-over of the operations of Basis 57 in Erstfeld, the highly regarded company producing Gotthard Zander.
This transaction enables SWISS LACHS to expand its production capacity substantially in the coming years, as the current facility at Basis 57 is today only used to a fraction of its production capacity. Permits for significant additional extensions are already in place, which will further shorten time to market for SWISS LACHS.
SWISS LACHS will continue farming pikeperch as long as this makes economic sense, and will fully utilise the spare production capacity to quickly ramp up salmon farming to meet the high demand for SWISS LACHS salmon delicacies. The main farm in Lostallo remains core, and the planning of its extension has significantly progressed over the last six months.
Thanks to strong distribution partners and quality recognition by many chefs, SWISS LACHS is the leading brand for quality salmon responsibly farmed in Switzerland.
SWISS LACHS will soon open a new farm shop in Erstfeld, similar to the one in Lostallo. In the future, customers will be able to get off the highway in Erstfeld and buy both Gotthard Zander and delicious SWISS LACHS products while passing by.
